There are two different view about Google Pagerank,  some webmasters say that it is USELESS, do not even bother to check it! But others say that it means many things to them and it is important for more website traffic from search engines.

I think both are correct in their opinions. It is fact that just Increased Google Pagerank is not guarantee  for increase in website traffic. So one should not just focus on Pagerank to get more taffic, there are so many factors which determine your success with search engines. But Pagerank has many other benefits, like if there are two sites, with everything equal but different pageranks, there are high chances that google will rank high the site with high pagerank.

Also we know that link building for our websites is very crucial for website promotion. When it comes to link exchange with other webmasters, they tend to exchange link with high pagerank sites. Also Pagerank is good selling point when selling a website or blog.

So focus on google pagerank also, but again there is not big relation b/w pagerank and website traffic you will get from search engines.  But again we should not ignore it completely as it has some benefits for our website’s overall promotion.

If you ask me how to increase pagerank for your website. In my own experience, AGE of the webpage is big factor, and links from high Pagerank sites is another big factor which will help to increase your website’s pagerank.

To take home lesson is that LINK exchange, incoming links to your site helps your web business to get more search engine exposure. So do not underestimate the power of Linking, and for good link exchanges you need good pagerank,  so try to build both day by day.
